Check Car Owner, find liens app for iPhone and iPad

Find the car owners name, address and telephone number, look on the map where the owner lives, check for car liens and find the deadline for EU control.

Find the car owner if your car has been hit or blocked in a parking lot! If you are on a used car hunt, if you are wondering who has parked incorrectly in the street, or who owns the car in front of you in the car queue, then this is the App for you.

Enter the first two digits of the registration number and you will see where in the country the car is registered (county and geographical area). Slide the main screen to the left to see all letter combinations with the corresponding county and geographical area.

Enter the entire registration number and tap "Search":

If there are encumbrances on the vehicle, you will be informed (free of charge):
- Name and address of the owner of the vehicle
- Phone numbers of owner (if available)
- Details of liabilities including amount due
- Residence of the owner shown on the map

You will always be informed free of charge (if the number is registered in the Norwegian Public Roads Administrations register):
- Brand and model
- Year of registration
- Latest approval
- Deadline for control
- If the vehicle is deregistered
- Whether the vehicle is exempt from inspection
- If the vehicle is second-hand imported

Other features:

- Tap on owner and place of residence will be shown on the map
- Tap on owner and you can copy the name and address to the clipboard
- Tap on the liability and you will get more details about the liability
- Tap on the telephone number and you can call or send an SMS to the owner

Find the owner if there are no encumbrances:
If there are no liens, the information about the owner is not available free of charge. You can then choose whether you want to receive an SMS from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NOK 3 per message). The message contains:
- Car brand
- Name and address of car owner
- Deadline for the next EU inspection
- Due annual fee
Please note that we do not receive any revenue from this SMS service. The revenue goes to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and the telephone company.
